Why We Sleep

Matthew Walker

While I enjoy most of the books I read, it is not common that I would like to give or recommend the book to everyone I know. But Why we sleep is this case. One of the most important books I have read so far. The author builds on scientific facts and still uses clear language. After reading this book you will think again about staying awake to fix bugs. I highly recommend this book, especially after his tip about drinking alcohol in the morning, because this way it will not impact your sleep quality during night...

"Phrased differently, and perhaps more simply, wakefulness is low-level brain damage, while sleep is neurological sanitation."
