So Good They Can't Ignore You

Cal Newport

This book's main idea is that you have to first be good at something and only than you can expect passion in your work life. While the idea is nice I did not really fancy the "manifesto" style of writing. In this regard I would prefer author's other book, Deep Work, as it resonated more within me. However, the book is short, and I do not really regret reading it and can imagine it could help somebody else a lot.

"With this in mind, let's call the approach to work endorsed by Bronson the passion mindset. Whereas the craftsman mindset focuses on what you can offer the world, the passion mindset focuses instead on what the world can offer to you."
